After the Golden Knights took game 5 of the series to go up 3-2 in the series it looked as if Las Vegas was gonna close it out on their home ice. However Tomas Hertl, Logan Couture and the Sharks had other plans as they battled the Golden Knights through all 3 periods and 2 overtimes! Martin Jones also saved the day with a franchise record of 58 saves, only letting 1 goal in by Jonathan Marchessault. Logan Couture scored the first goal for the Sharks. With it still being a 1-1 game in Double Overtime, Barclay Goodrow got a slashing penalty called on him. With Las Vegas on the power play it looked like the Knights were gonna close out the Sharks season right there but then Tomas Hertl hit the jackpot scoring right after the opposing power play started and sending the series back to San Jose for a game 7 tonight! With the Warriors playing their game 5 tomorrow night all the attention in the Bay tonight is gonna be on the Sharks as they look to close out the series against the Las Vegas Golden Knights! Win or go home!
